I'm out of school today because of the snow storm that will not stop being compared to the "Blizzard of '78". In case you don't know, it was a blizzard in 1978 that had kids out of school for weeks and was one of the worst storms, like, ever. The news was telling me that we needed first aid kits on hand, but my driveway isn't even covered. It's still beautiful to look at outside.
In light of the weather, I'm wearing this slightly itchy yet super homey sweater from H&M. The knit looks like something that my grandmother would knit, and I love pairing it with more modern things, like the light wash Levi's 508s I'm wearing here. They're literally perfect. They fit great, they come in tons of different washes, Levi's has made an amazing jean with the 508s. I like them more than any other style.
This is probably my favorite mug that my family owns, because it preaches my life motto. One thing that I have never understood were people who say that you should wear dark wash jeans in the winter, and then light wash or white in the summer. Why? I love wearing light wash jeans in the winter. I think that they're relaxed, casual, and perfect for a snowy day look. In my opinion, there is no article of clothing that can't be translated from one season to the next.
One song that I have been listening to so much recently is Audrey Hepburn singing "Moon River" from the Breakfast at Tiffany's soundtrack. It will transport you to the time when the movie was made, and it's a song that never fails to make me happy.
I'm also really liking the new Ke$ha EP "Deconstructed". It's a bunch of songs from her album, but acoustic and really stripped down. It's basically Ke$ha saying "I can sing, bitchz". And she sounds great.
I just read you are only 14 ! Wow.... and have to tell you that knit as well as Audrey Hepburn is way beyond your years ! So lovely that you have developed such a taste early on !
